Safety & Safeguarding

The safety of our members and volunteers is paramount to us and as such we comply with the safety practices of the Scout Association. Adult volunteers are all required to complete safety and safeguarding training on a regular basis as well as first aid training. Activities and venues are subject to appropriate risk assessment by activity leaders on an ongoing basis to put appropriate controls in place to minimise risk to participants.

The Scout Association provide details of Safety and Safeguarding standards and practices for the movement, for which we have provided links to below. If you have concerns with regards to safety or safeguarding, please raise them with the appropriate person straight away. We would encourage you to become familiar with the association guidance on this at the below links to ensure appropriate and effective action when such concerns are raised.
